Celebrate the rain
I borrowed a camera to play with. It was technically not as good a camera as my old one but - I really enjoyed playing with it!
I adopted out another filly today. She, Echo, went to a great home.Sometimes it can be difficult to let them go. I know, though, that they are offering her a better life. I say that because she will be an only child - and - they fell in love with her at first sight. I've come to realize that being a foster parent is all about love and letting go. Fortunately, I also have a standing invitation to go see her.
At the cabin I am continuing my quest to de-clutter my life... I was amazed at how many unread books I actually owned. For the most part - if I read a book, I pass it on. I haven't been reading as much lately though.
Enjoy your weekend!
with love and light, Katie

8 cool peeps:
Another gorgeous photo.
Lovely!!!
Nice to see You again Katie.
As for me I have moved to a cabin, almost a cave, on an island in the archipelago of the west of Sweden. Besides my dog and me, I have a cat to keep my cave clean from mice :-)
Next door (2 km away) I have access to horseback-riding, as much as I want and have time for, cause they have lots of horses and need help, and I love to ride.
I have no electricity or other things that can destroy our beautiful planet and I work as a doctoral slave at the university of Gotenburgh, during the week days :-D
It is lovely to get home to the silence each day, and be close to the nature, and the animals.
(( kisses ))
Thanks Aggie!
Anna-lys! Thank you!
How wonderful your new life must be! Although I do have basic electricity - I have no stove/oven.. simply the fridge.... and of course the dogs and cats. My horses are a few miles or more away.
Your new place sounds fabulous!
I was reading back so I caught a wee bit - your poor son's toes! Moving is always a time of turmoil on some level.
hugs!
i'm sure echo is pleased with all you've done for her, katie :)
blessings to both :D
for such a simple life yours seem very hectic ;-)
have a great week
ha ha Pete! :) hugs!
hugs and blessings to you Tony!
wow... if that camera isnt as good, I can only imagine what the good one was like! Clearly you have a talent!
It must be difficult to adopt out your horses. The right thing, I know, but still I imagine it tugs at your heart strings!
Hope you had a good weekend!
xo
Well, Helene said basically what I was going to: Very great shot! The technical inferiority is not apparent.
It's very precious and beautiful, what you're doing for the horses. Is there anywhere they can still be wild?
